Cade Halbrook, a Morrilton High School senior, has been named a semifinalist in the National Merit Scholarship Program. Cade plays football and baseball for the Devil Dogs. Cade is one of approximately 16,000 academically talented high school students that have an opportunity to continue in the competition for some 7,600 National Merit Scholarships worth more than $30 million that will be offered next spring. The goal of the National Merit Scholarship Program is to honor the nation’s scholastic champions and encourage the pursuit of academic excellence. Cade is the son of Shawn and Jennifer Halbrook.
