Morrilton High School sophomore Cheyanne Kemp has been named the Girls Underclassman of the Year by the Arkansas Democrat-Gazette for the 2020-21 high school basketball season. The sophomore averaged 18 points, four rebounds and three assists per game this past season in leading the Lady Devil Dogs to a 22-4 record and an appearance in the semi-finals of the Class 4A State Tournament. Kemp was also named to the second team in the publication's All-Arkansas Preps team. Morrilton junior Joseph Pinion was named to the first team for the boys' All-Arkansas Preps team. The University of Arkansas commit averaged over 17 points and seven rebounds per game in leading the Devil Dogs to the Class 4A State Finals this season
